Yalcinbayir: Turkey And Bulgaria Have Had Consensus About Solution Of Iraq Crisis

SOFIA - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ertugrul Yalcinbayir said on Saturday, ''both Turkey and Bulgaria are in favor of resolving the Iraqi crisis peacefully.''
Yalcinbayir went to Bulgaria to attend the Fifth Regular Congress of the Rights and Freedoms Movement (HOH), was received by President Georgi Purvanov and Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha of Bulgaria.
Holding a press conference following his contacts, Yalcinbayir said, ''during the meeting, we exchanged views on latest developments in the region and bilateral relations between Turkey and Bulgaria. Both Turkey and Bulgaria are in favor of resolving the Iraqi crisis peacefully.''
Responding a question about discussions in NATO, Yalcinbayir told reporters, ''attitudes of France, Belgium and Germany are the result of a peaceful point of view. They do not target Turkey. I do not believe that there has been an enmity between Turkey and these countries. Such an enmity contradicts with the understanding of the Alliance.''
Referring to Turkey's integration with the European Union (EU), Yalcinbayir said, ''Turkey should record more progress in its EU full membership process. The government of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) has the necessary political will to fulfill EU criteria.''
''During my meetings with President Purvanov and Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, I brought onto agenda the issues of visa problem between the two countries and social rights of Bulgarian citizens, who have migrated to Turkey. We have reached a full consensus on solution of these problems,'' he said.
Yalcinbayir told reporters that they had decided to accelerate works to finalize the Gorna Arda Project.
