Intense Diplomacy Traffic At Ministry Of Foreign Affairs

ANKARA - After Turkey applied to NATO to invoke Article 4 of North Atlantic Treaty upon recent developments about Iraq, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs became stage of intense diplomacy traffic.
German Ambassador to Turkey Rudolf Schmidt met with Ministry of Foreign Affairs Deputy Undersecretary Nabi Sensoy before French Ambassador to Turkey Bernard Garcia was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Schmidt presented text of the speech, which was delivered by German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder at the Parliament, to Sensoy.
He told Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials that there was not any change in Germany's attitude about discussions in NATO.
Schmidt stressed that Germany would expend efforts to meet expectations of Turkey on bilateral basis.
