Industrial Production Increases By 13.5 Percent

ANKARA - Industrial production increased by 13.5 percent in December of 2002 over to the same month of the previous year. Meanwhile, manufacturing industry production increased by 16.2 percent.
The State Institute of Statistics announced on Thursday results of Monthly Industrial Production Index.
According to the results, industrial production rose by 13.5 percent in December of 2002 over to the same month of the previous year.
Manufacturing industry production increased by 16.2 percent, mining industry production decreased by 15.7 percent, electricity, gas and water production increased by 5.4 percent.
Total industrial production increased by 9.1 percent, mining industry decreased by 9.5 percent, manufacturing industry increased by 10.6 percent and electricity, gas and water industry increased by 5.4 percent in twelve months of 2002, over to the same period of the previous year.
