FIRST WARNING FROM DERVIS
Kemal Dervis, who earlier said six months should be given to Justice and Development Party (AK Party), this time said, ''economy is face to face with a very serious danger.''
Dervis said, ''the danger will be serious in case the inflation, which was high in January, is high in the coming 1-2 months. The positive expectations will be disrupted.''

HERE ARE NINE SINE-QUA NON CONDITIONS
Turkish army will enter Northern Iraq on its own. Main duty of the Untied States will be to provide communication of Turkish-U.S. and Kurds.
-Turkish army will enter Northern Iraq on its own when time comes.
-Duty of the U.S. soldiers will only be to provide coordination.
-Turkish units will act independently in Northern Iraq.
-The United States will be deployed in the southern part of the 36th parallel. It will control Mosul and Kirkuk.
-Armament of the Kurdish units by the United States will be under the control of Turkey.
-Turkish units will launch operations if the PKK elements do not withdraw from the region.
-Gen. Fevzi Turkeri will command the Turkish units.
-Joint operation center will be in Diyarbakir.
-There will be a Turkish general in U.S. operation center in Qatar.

TSK: ''TURKISH TROOPS CANNOT BE UNDER COMMAND OF U.S. COMMANDER''
Crisis on command between Turkey and the United States is growing. Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) reacts Turkish troops' being under the command of a U.S. commander. TSK wants an agreement on rules by which U.S. soldiers will be subject to and cooperation methods. TSK does not approve of the parliament's giving permission to allowing foreign soldiers in Turkey on February 18.

NATO OBSTACLE
Germany, Belgium and France will prevent package which foresees protection of Turkey in a possible operation against Iraq. NATO will not support measure package which was brought onto the agenda by the United States and which aims to protect Turkey in a possible operation against Iraq. Belgium, France and Germany announced that they would veto starting of plans for defense of Turkey in a war.

He is the Mohammed Ali of Turkey. His name is Sinan Samil Sam. He defeated the British champion and his name was written among the world giants. Sinan Samil Sam, the European Heavy Weight Boxing Champion, defeated Danny Williams, the champion of Britain. Thus, he was included in the list of World Boxing Association.

COMMISSION FORMED FOR PRIVATIZATION OF VAKIFBANK
Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin announced that they formed a commission to determine the road map regarding the privatization of Vakifbank. Sahin received the International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation headed by Turkey Desk Chief Juha Kahkonen. Sahin said that they held a meeting on privatization of Vakifbank the previous week under his chairmanship and with the participation of State Minister Ali Babacan, and officials from the Treasury, Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA), State Planning Organization (DPT), and Vakifbank. A commission was formed under the leadership of a bureaucrat of the Treasury which would work on a road map concerning Vakifbank's privatization, Sahin noted.

WE WILL NOT BE A PART OF U.S. PLAN
Turkish Armed Forces gave this message to U.S. officials: There is not a coalition or a United Nations (U.N.) umbrella yet. What we actually see is a U.S. operation in which Britain takes places at certain extent. In this case, it is out of question for us to be under the command of another country. We do not favor any operation against Iraq. In general, we do not favor war. Our aim is to prevent any incidents which will be contrary to Turkey's interests.

REINFORCEMENT ACROSS BORDER: TWO THOUSAND NEW OFFICERS
As a measure against possible developments in Iraq, reinforcement of the Second Army has been completed to a great extent. It is learned that more that two thousand officers and non-commissioned officers have been assigned to join the units in the region. It is noted that officers were appointed to the units because Turkey expected that deployment will last long.

DERVIS: ''ECONOMY IS GETTING WORSE''
Former State Minister and Republican People's Party (CHP) Istanbul deputy Kemal Dervis said that economy was getting worse and stated that Turkish economy faced with very big dangers. Dervis, who criticized harshly economic policies of the government, stated that financial aid which the United States would extend to Turkey should be ''donation'' not debt.

VICTORY OF TEXTILE SECTOR
Turkey's textile sector has already joined the European Union (EU). Turkey attracted attention in CPD textile fair in which 46 countries participated and which was held in Dusseldorf between February 2 and 4. Turkish stand was the most interesting one in the fair.

TURKISH SOLDIERS PLEASED TO RETURN HOME
Turkey will hand over the command of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) to Germany and the Netherlands with a ceremony on Monday. Some of Turkish soldiers had earlier returned to Turkey. The rest of soldiers will spend the Feast of Sacrifice with their families as they return to Turkey following the hand over ceremony.

TSK'S PLAN FOR IRAQ READY
General Staff has prepared its plans for a possible war and started to wait for February 18. According to the plan, Turkey will enter Northern Iraq with two army corps. Second Army Commander General Fevzi Turkeri said that five hours would suffice them for a security line to be formed in the north.

OPPONENT THREE TO VETO PROTECTION OF TURKEY
Germany, France and Belgium are getting prepared to veto ''cautionary planning'' decision in NATO, which also envisaged protection of Turkey in possible Iraqi war.
Belgian Foreign Minister Louis Michel said they would veto the decision together with Germany and France. Michel defended that possible war of the United States was only linked with ''oil and power''.

12 COUNTRIES PROPOSE PARTNERSHIP TO QUAKE PROJECT WHICH DID NOT FIND INTEREST IN TURKEY
Berk Ustundag, a lecturer of Istanbul Technical University, applied to European Union (EU), when he could not find necessary support to his quake project. A total of 25 institutions from 12 countries, including Spain and France, proposed partnership to the project which became a focus of interest in Europe.
The equipment which Ustundag found would be developed within the scope of the project and will be installed in all European countries if the EU accepts the demand.
