Industrial Production Increases By 9.1 Percent

ANKARA - The State Institute of Statistics (DIE) announced on Saturday that the industrial production increased by 9.1 percent in December of 2002, over to the same period of the previous year.
According to figures of the DIE, industrial production increased 13.5 percent in December of 2002, over to the same month of the previous year.
The manufacturing industry production increased by 16.2 percent, mining industry production decreased by 15.7 percent, electricity, gas and water production increased by 5.4 percent, in December of 2002, over to the same period of the previous year.
The mining industry decreased by 9.5 percent, manufacturing industry increased by 10.6 percent, and electricity, gas and water industry increased by 5.4 percent in twelve months of 2002, over to the same period of the previous year.
