Babacan Meets With U.S. Secretary Of Treasury Taylor

ANKARA - State Minister Ali Babacan met with U.S. Secretary of Treasury John Taylor on Thursday who came to Turkey the same day.
U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Robert Pearson, high ranking officials from Treasury Undersecretariat, State Planning Organization, Finance Ministry, Central Bank also attended the meeting.
Before that meeting, State Minister Babacan had a special meeting with Taylor and Pearson and they took up the method of U.S.'s compensating the economic loss of Turkey in case of an operation against Iraq and the economic programme of Turkey backed by the IMF.
