ANKARA - Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITF) Chairman Sanan Ahmet Aga visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday and met with Undersecretary Ugur Ziyal.
Speaking to reporters following the meeting that lasted nearly one hour, Aga said that not only his country but also whole region were under serious threat.
Aga said that they were in touch with regional countries to discuss how safety of peoples living in Iraq particularly Turkmen could be provided.
''There should not be a war. This is our priority. Peace is better than everything. We talk to everybody if war is considered only way of settlement of peace,'' he said.
BARZANI VISIT MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
Speaking to reporters following his meeting, Barzani said that they had held a very beneficial meeting, and they had exchanged opinion on latest situation in Northern Iraq and Iraq.
Replying a question, Barzani said that they would exchange opinion on latest developments regarding Iraq's future during tomorrow's meeting of the Iraqi opposition groups in Ankara, and the meeting was very important.
TALABANI VISITS MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
Speaking to reporters following the meeting, Talabani said that they had always had good relations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and they were in full consensus of opinion with Ziyal on every issue they had discussed.
When asked whether or not a joint declaration would be released following tomorrow's meeting of Northern Iraqi opposition groups in Ankara, Talabani said, ''maybe''.
When asked whether or not military-security issues in the region would be discussed during tomorrow's meeting, Talabani said they would discuss all issues related to Northern Iraq including military and security issues.
