DIYARBAKIR - Businessmen and Chairmen of Commerce and Industry Chambers of 22 provinces in East and Southeast Anatolia regions will take up effects of a possible war in Iraq on Turkey's and region's economy in a meeting to be held in Diyarbakir on Thursday.
Businessmen will discuss how to stand against a possible war economically in the meeting, which will be held by Turkey Clothing Manufacturers' Association (TGSD) and Southeast Industrialists Businessmen Association (GUNSIAD).
International Apparel Federation (IAF) and TGSD President Umut Oran, GUNSIAD Chairman Bedrettin Karaboga and chairmen of Commerce and Industry Chambers of 22 provinces will state their views in the meeting and release a joint statement concerning urgent economic measures against economic difficulties that a possible war will cause in the region.
