BURSA - Exports of textiles from northwestern province of Bursa increased by 23.8 percent, and exports of ready-to-wear clothings rose by 54.4 percent in January of 2003.
Uludag Exporters' Association told the A.A correspondent on Tuesday that exports of textiles increased 23.8 percent from 36 million 951 thousand U.S. in January of 2002 to 45 million 751 thousand U.S. dollars in January of 2003.
The exports of ready-to-wear clothings, which were 31 million 867 thousand U.S. dollars in January of 2002, rose 54.4 percent to 49 million 207 thousand U.S. dollars in the same period of 2003.
The region exported textiles to seven free zones and 72 countries and autonomous regions and exported ready-to-wear clothings to four free zones and 52 countries and autonomous regions.
