ANKARA - Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank increased by 585 million U.S. dollars between January 17 and 24, 2003.
According to the Central Bank's weekly bulletin, the Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves which were 27 billion 888 million U.S. dollars on January 17, increased to 28 billion 473 million U.S. dollars on January 24.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange reserves of banks and private finance organizations rose 263 million U.S. dollars from 10 billion 853 million U.S. dollars on January 3 to 11 billion 116 million U.S. dollars on January 10.
Meanwhile, the international reserves of Turkey comprising gold reserves and foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank, commercial banks and private finance organizations increased 499 million U.S. dollars from 39 billion 138 million U.S. dollars to 39 billion 637 million U.S. dollars between January 3-10.
