ANKARA - The total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks increased 217 million U.S. dollars to 62 billion 752 million U.S. dollars as of January 17, 2003.
According to Central Bank's temporary statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 62 billion 535 million U.S. dollars on January 10.
The foreign exchange deposits increased 150 million U.S. dollars to 48 billion 463 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
The total internal foreign exchange deposits rose 84 million U.S. dollars to 46 billion 672 million U.S. dollars and external foreign exchange deposits increased 66 million U.S. dollars to 1 billion 791 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market increased 86 million U.S. dollars to 616 million U.S. dollars.
The foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts increased 235 million U.S. dollars to 14 billion 524 million U.S. dollars between January 17 and 24, 2003.
