Security Forces Impound 51 Kg Of Heroin In Van

VAN - Security forces impounded 51 kg of heroin in an operation in Gurpinar town of eastern province of Van on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, security forces stopped a lorry at a check point in Gurpinar town.
They searched the lorry and confiscated 51 kg of heroin hidden in cache of the vehicle.
Sources said that market value of the drug was about 1.5 trillion Turkish liras.
Driver of the lorry was taken into custody in the operation.
A full investigation into illicit drug trafficking is under way.
