Foreign Ministry Thanks Greece For Its Sensitivity About Quake In Pulumur

ANKARA - Foreign Ministry thanked on Wednesday Greece for its sensitivity about the earthquake which jolted Pulumur town of eastern Tunceli province early on Monday.
A statement of the Foreign Ministry said that there was no need for a Greek search and rescue team at the moment.
The statement noted that the Greek government contacted the Foreign Ministry and Turkey's Embassy in Athens following the earthquake which rocked Pulumur, expressed deep sorrow over the quake disaster and wished quick recovery to Turkish citizens.
Greece had stated that it was beside Turkey as it always did, the statement said.
The statement pointed out that Athens proposed to send Greek search and rescue team comprised of 100 people to Turkey if needed.
In the statement, Turkey thanked the Greek government and people for their sensitivity and friendly proposal.
Greece had earlier announced that 200 thousand euro was allocated to meet humanitarian needs in the quake zone.
