Blair Called Gul

ANKARA - Prime Minister Abdullah Gul had a telephone talk with British Prime Minister Tony Blair on Tuesday.
Prime Ministry Press Center said that Blair called Gul and the two prime ministers exchanged views about the developments regarding the Iraqi problem prior to Blair's meeting with U.S. President George W. Bush on Jan. 31, 2003.
Prime Minister Gul confirmed the importance Turkey attributed to the continuation of the U.N. process and Iraq's full implementation of U.N. resolutions and Gul also informed Blair about the results of the meeting of Regional Initiative on Iraq which was held in Istanbul on January 23, 2003.
In his telephone conversation with Blair, Gul also confirmed the support of Turkey to the negotiation process about the Cyprus problem and stressed that the views and concerns of the Turkish Cypriot side should also be taken into consideration for a permanent peace and solution in Cyprus.
