G.A.P. Exports Usd 385.2 Million Of Textile Products In 2002

GAZIANTEP - Export of thread, textile products and machine-made carpet from Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) region increased 9.9 percent to 385 million 252 thousand U.S. dollars in 2002 when compared to 2001.
In the previous year, the region raised an income of 350 million 412 thousand U.S. dollars through textile exports.
Southeastern Anatolia Exporters Associations said on Tuesday that they exported 133 million 364 thousand U.S. dollars of cotton, acrylic, synthetic and polypropylene thread; 124 million 946 thousand cotton, synthetic and knitted textile, and 126 million 942 thousand U.S. dollars of machine-made carpet in 2002.
Most of the products were exported to Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, the United States, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Spain, Egypt, Britain, Germany, Belgium, Israel, Algeria and Poland.
