A Total Of 96,422 Tourists Visit Antalya Between January 1 And 26

ANTALYA - A total of 96,422 foreign tourists came to Antalya by plane between January 1 and 26, 2003.
Representatives of tourism sector said that despite preparations for a war against Iraq, the atmosphere of confidence was created in Europe especially in Germany and Turkey and promotions continued.
A total of 57,462 tourists visited Turkey in January 1998; 82,712 foreign tourists came to Antalya in January 1999; 50,540 tourists visited the city in January 2000; 75,063 tourists visited Antalya in 2001 and 65,582 came the city in 2002.
Most of tourists came from Germany to Antalya. The number of German tourists who visited Antalya to spend their holiday increased 47 percent to 2,346,990 in 2002 when compared to the previous year.
