DAVOS - Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that they were ready to extend all their support for inflow of foreign capital in Turkey.
Erdogan held a press conference in Davos following his contacts.
He took up not only political but also economic issues during his meetings with Swiss President and Foreign Minister, Erdogan said.
Erdogan noted that they also evaluated Iraq and Cyprus issue during their meetings.
Swiss people were interested in Ilisu Dam in Turkey, he said. Erdogan stated that they insisted that Swiss people should follow that issue.
He held a special meeting with European Parliament President, Erdogan pointed out.
Erdogan said that they took up initiatives related with EU process during their meeting.
Iraq, Cyprus and preparations for establishment of a culture city in south of Ireland were the other issues he debated during his meeting with the European Parliament President, Erdogan pointed out.
Erdogan stated that they would do their best to take necessary steps for promotion of Turkish culture in that respect.
The issue came onto the agenda by taking action from the view that the EU should be a whole of values, Erdogan said.
Erdogan noted that he held contacts with leading Russian companies dealing with the energy sector.
They invited those companies to Turkey and asked them to participate in privatization of refineries, Erdogan stated.
Erdogan noted that those companies said that they could take part in those projects and said that they were ready to extend all the support to inflow of foreign capital in Turkey.
Those companies said that they could come to Turkey at the end of February, Erdogan said.
Erdogan added that they also held contacts with some foreign journalists.
