Yakis Meets With Syrian Foreign Minister Al- Shara

ISTANBUL - Foreign Minister Yasar Yakis met with on Thursday Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk Al-Shara, who is currently in Istanbul to attend ''Regional Initiative on Iraqi issue-Foreign Ministers Meeting''.
Following the meeting which was closed to press, Al-Shara said that he and Yakis focused on two messages, one of which was important, at the meeting.
Yakis said that he hoped that ''high ranking officials'' meeting which was being held in Ciragan Palace would be beneficial and added that the officials were working to adopt a joint declaration at the meeting.
