Iraqi Ambassador In Ankara Duleymi Visits Foreign Ministry

ANKARA - Iraqi Ambassador in Ankara Talip Abid Salih Al Duleymi has said that they appreciated Turkey's efforts for peace.
Duleymi visited Foreign Ministry on Tuesday and met with Deputy Undersecretary Ali Tuygan and Middle East Department Director General Tahsin Burcuoglu.
Speaking to reporters following the meetings, Duleymi said that he had paid visit of courtesy to the two diplomats.
Noting that the meeting that was scheduled to be held in Istanbul on January 23 with participation of Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran was discussed, Duleymi said he thanked Turkey for its contribution to the issue. ''Iraq appreciates Turkey's efforts,'' he said.
Stressing that Turkey's attitude stemmed from Turkish people because Turkish people were against war, Duleymi said Turkey's attitude was in line with Ataturk's principle of ''peace at home, peace in the world''.
Recalling that Iraq continued cooperation by opening its doors to the U.N. weapon inspectors, Duleymi said that the United states should allow the inspectors to fulfil their mission freely.
Stressing that whole world was against war, Duleymi recalled that many countries had criticized the United States in latest meeting of the U.N. Security Council.
