Erdemir Records 874 Million Usd Turnover

ISTANBUL - Eregli Demir Celik Fabrikalari T.A.S., iron and steel factories, recorded 874 million U.S. dollars of turnover in 2002.
Eregli Demir Celik sent a statement to the Stock Exchange which said that the company raised an income of 206 million U.S. dollars through exports last year.
The statement noted that the company targeted 1.1 billion u.S. dollars of turnover and 250 million U.S. dollars of export in 2003.
The company made 42 percent of its exports to America, 34 percent to European Union (EU) member countries, the statement pointed out.
Noting that company aimed to increase its production which was 3 million 145 thousand tons last year to 3 million 250 thousand tons this year.
