ANKARA - Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) will hold an ''Economy Summit'' in Ankara on Sunday.
Prime Minister Abdullah Gul is expected to attend the summit.
A statement of TOBB Chairman Rifat Hisarciklioglu said on Saturday that TOBB proposed the government to hold an ''Economy Summit'' with a wide participation in order to explain urgent problems of the sectors and make proposals and that the government welcomed the proposal.
The statement noted that the government had made a commitment to hold continous consultations with non-governmental organizations in order to ensure social support for reform process.
They aimed to find solutions to problems of the country during the summit, the statement pointed out.
Besides Prime Minister Gul, some ministers, deputies, high-level bureaucrats, TOBB Executive Board members, and chairmen of councils, chambers and commodity exhanges will attend the economy summit.
