TARSUS - Delegation comprising American experts who arrived in Turkey for site survey of some bases and ports with the authority of government, performed site survey on Thursday in Yenice hamlet of Tarsus township of southern Mersin province together with Turkish experts.
Delegation inspected military facilities, the Ammunition Unit and railway station in the hamlet.
Later, delegation proceeded to Mersin.
SITE SURVEY AT GAZIANTEP'S INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
GAZIANTEP - A delegation comprising U.S. experts who came to Turkey under the permit given by the government for site-surveys in some bases and ports in Turkey, performed a site-survey at Gaziantep's International Airport on Thursday.
The delegation including 21 members who landed at the airport by a C-130 military plane on Thursday morning visited fire directorate and Petrol Ofisi facilities and received information about those places from the officials.
A 3-member delegation from the United Nations (U.N.) High Commissioner for Refugees carried out another site-survey at the airport.
Sources said that the delegation searched for a place related to refugees who might enter from Northern Iraq to Turkey in case of a possible operation against Iraq and added that tents would be sent to the region soon.
Another delegation including U.S. experts performed site-survey at Mus Airport.
