KABUL - U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz met with International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Commander Gen. Hilmi Zorlu on Wednesday.
ISAF press spokesmen said that Wolfowitz noted in the meeting which was close to the press that Turkey did the things it had to do for ISAF and that it carried out its mission in a very professional way.
Wolfowitz and Gen. Zorlu took up the need of foundation of the Afghan national army and police organization to ensure the security in Afghanistan.
Speaking to reporters, Wolfowitz said that the U.S. speeded up the efforts of reconstruction of Afghanistan. Wolfowitz said that it is also important to contribute to the stability of Afghanistan.
