ANKARA - International Monetary Fund (IMF) First Deputy Managing Director Anne Krueger will visit Istanbul on Wednesday whereas World Bank Vice President Johannes Linn is expected to be in Ankara on Thursday.
Krueger will meet with officials of Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen Association (TUSIAD) and Union of Turkish Banks, and exchange views about the effects of the economic program carried out with the IMF.
Krueger, who will proceed to Ankara on Thursday, is expected to meet with Prime Minister Abdullah Gul, State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener, State Minister Ali Babacan, Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan, Treasury Undersecretary Faik Oztrak, Central Bank Governor Sureyya Serdengecti and Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) Chairman Engin Akcakoca.
Krueger will exchange views about implementation of economic program, and will depart from Turkey the same day after wrapping up contacts.
Linn, who will be in Ankara on January 16, is expected to exchange views with the government officials about economic program.
Linn will also meet Gul, Sener, Babacan, Unakitan, as well as National Education Minister Erkan Mumcu and Health Minister Recep Akdag.
Linn will depart from Turkey on Saturday.
