ANKARA - A demonstration was held to protest a possible operation against Iraq in Diyarbakir on Sunday.
A group of persons who are members of Women Platform and Peace Mothers held a 'no to war' demonstration in Kosuyolu in Diyarbakir.
Platform Spokeswoman Raife Alkis who read out a press statement claimed that the United States' launching a possible war against Iraq was 'another dimension of international terror' and added, ''we, as women and mothers don't want a war. Turkey is a country which knows what war is.''
Group of persons including many women chanted slogans saying, ''No to War, Peace Now''.
Demonstrations were also held to protest a possible operation against Iraq in Adana, Sanliurfa and Elazig provinces.
