ANKARA - Prime Minister Abdullah Gul will start his tour on Saturday to Saudi Arabia and Iran to discuss Iraq issue.
Releasing a statement, the Prime Ministry Press Center said on Friday that Prime Minister Gul will leave for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday.
Crown Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia will welcome Prime Minister Gul at the Military Airport in Riyadh.
Following interdelegationary meetings to be presided by Prime Minister Gul and Crown Prince Abdullah, Prime Minister Gul will be received by King Fahd of Saudi Arabia.
After meeting with Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faysal, Prime Minister Gul will hold a press conference.
He will proceed to Iranian capital Tehran on Sunday.
Iranian Transportation Minister will welcome Prime Minister Gul.
Following interdelegationary meetings to be held at the Sadabad Palace, Prime Minister Gul will be received by President Mohammad Khatami.
Later, Prime Minister Gul will attend a luncheon to be hosted by Vice President Reza Aref.
After meeting with Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi, Prime Minister Gul will hold a press conference about his contacts.
He will return to Turkey the same day.
Earlier, Prime Minister Gul paid visits to Syria, Egypt and Jordan in his Middle East tour aiming at finding a peaceful solution to Iraq issue.
