ANKARA - A meeting was held on energy on Friday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Abdullah Gul which was attended by State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener, State Minister Ali Babacan and Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler.
Following the meeting, Guler told reporters that they thought of totally lifting share of Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) in electricity prices and that works would become definite in the following week.
Asked if there would be a reduction in price of electricity used by industry, Guler said, ''we are working on this issue. There is not only rise in U.S. dollar but also in crude oil prices. The price depends on these two.''
Guler added that work on reduction of electricity prices would become definite in the coming week.
