Demirer: Kosovo's Future Dependent On Multi-nationalism

PRIZREN - Turkish Battalion in Kosovo Commander Armagan Demirer said on Friday that Kosovo's future was dependent on multi-nationalism.
Demirer told a press conference that they were working to protect peace, tranquility and security in Kosovo and were supported by regional people.
Turkish soldiers were ensuring security in the border area of Kosovo and they constructed road, sewage and sports grounds worth of 100 thousand euro, Demirer said.
Demirer noted that around 70 thousand euro collected in Humanitarian Assistance Fund formed by donations of personnel of the battalion was spent on educational, cultural and social activities of young people and children.
A modern high school was formed with donations of Turkish soldiers, Demirer stated.
Demirer pointed out that the battalion also formed a kindergarten in Prizren where Turkish, Albanian and Bosnian children were educated.
They also donated books and stationery to schools, Demirer said.
Demirer noted that they treated almost 5,000 civilians in the battalion infirmary, adding that they distributed medicine worth of 80 thousand euro.
