Taylor Visits Babacan

ANKARA - U.S. Treasury Department Under Secretary John Taylor visited State Minister Ali Babacan on Friday.
An eighteen-member delegation comprising high-level bureaucrats from the Treasury, Central Bank, State Planning Organization and Foreign Ministry are also attending the meeting in Babacan's office at the Treasury Undersecretariat.
Effects of a possible operation against Iraq on ongoing economic program and the economy are expected to be taken in the meeting in which other relevant U.S. officials are participating.
Scenarios according to period of operation and solution proposals will be taken up in the meeting.
Releasing a statement yesterday, the State Ministry said that U.S. State Department Under Secretary Marc Grossman would accompany Taylor during his visit that would be continuation of talks held in Washington on December 11-12.
