ANKARA - The new gross minimum wage was fixed as 306 million Turkish liras (TL) for people who are above 16-year-old, and as 256 million TL for people who are under 16-year-old.
The Minimum Wage Fixing Commission finalized its works to set the new minimum wage on Thursday.
Commission Chairman and Labour Director General Omer Benokan said that the new minimum wage would be valid for a year beginning from January 1, 2003.
The gross minimum wage become 306 million TL and net minimum wage become 223 million 749 thousand TL for people who are above 16-year-old.
The gross minimum wage become 256 million TL and net minimum wage become 188 million 282 thousand TL for people who are under 16-year-old.
