GENEVA - UEFA Executive Board chose Switzerland-Austria to be joint hosts of the European soccer championship in 2008.
Turkey-Greece bid was rejected by the UEFA, but it competed in the final round of the competition.
Turkish Football Federation Chairman Haluk Ulusoy said that '''we lost a competition which we could win with Greece. We were the only candidates which were ready for everything.'' He added that Swiss-Austria soccer teams didn't compete in the world championships for years.
