ANKARA - President Ahmet Necdet Sezer visited on Thursday Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas, who is undergoing a check-up in Ankara.
President Sezer and his wife Semra Sezer paid a short visit to Denktas.
Responding to questions of reporters when departing from the hospital, Sezer said that they paid a courtesy visit to Denktas.
Sezer noted, ''he is very well. I talked to his doctors and they said that Denktas can be discharged from hospital tomorrow.''
Asked if a negative decision in Copenhagen would be a disappointment for him, Sezer said, ''we predict it. They are not sincere. They are saying that they can give an earlier date if a development is recorded in Cyprus issue. They are not sincere.''
When asked if a date for a date could be accepted, Sezer said, ''we have to take into consideration that date.''
