Ak Party Leader Erdogan Meets U.S. State Secretary Powell

WASHINGTON - Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan met on Tuesday with U.S. State Secretary Colin Powell.
Following the meeting that lasted for almost 15 minutes, Erdogan told reporters that he had a positive meeting with Powell.
Foreign Minister Yasar Yakis also attended the meeting.
Erdogan, who later met with representatives of leading Jewish organizations in the United States, is expected to be briefed at the Pentagon and hold contacts at the White House later in the day.
