ANKARA - United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan sent on Tuesday the revised plan with his letter to the sides in Cyprus and said that Cyprus has an appointment with history and it should not miss this.
Annan's Special Envoy to Cyprus Alvaro de Soto presented Annan's letter to the Greek Cypriot leader Glafcos Clerides and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas.
United Nations Peace Keeping Force stated that a revised document of Annan's plan which was earlier presented on November 11 and a letter are conveyed to the sides in Cyprus.
The plan was revised after the talks with two sides and the negotiations were speeded up in the last few days by considering the interpretations, suggestions and demands of the sides.
Annan requested the leaders to evaluate the revised plan urgently to reach a certain end, thus a united Cyprus can access European Union (EU). Annan also asked Clerides and Denktas to make themselves available if necessary for talks in Copenhagen this week.
