Parliamentary Justice Comission Accepts E.U. Adjustment Package

ANKARA - Parliamentary Justice Commission accepted on Tuesday the draft for European Union (EU) adjustment laws.
The commission headed by Justice Commission Chairman Koksal Toptan completed discussions on the draft and accepted unanimously all articles of it.
Three articles were added to the draft with proposals. According to that, ''sixtieth day'' in the second paragraph of Article 39 of law on election of deputy was replaced with ''ninetieth day''.
Interrogation period of convicts and detainees out of the prison was decreased from 7 to 4 days with proposal which was given by members of the Republican People's Party (CHP).
Noting that the draft should not be perceived as Turkey's membership justification to the EU, Toptan said, ''Turkey's joining the EU will open the way of compromising of the civilizations.''
AK Party Parliamentary Group Deputy Chairman Salih Kapusuz said that they met with the administrators of CHP late on Monday and added that they reached a full agreement on the laws which would be passed from the parliament.
