Turkey's Initiatives Continue To Get Date From Copenhagen Summit

ANKARA - Turkey continues to take initiatives to get a date from Copenhagen summit to be held between 12-13 Dec.
AK Party leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Yasar Yakýs will go to Denmark today, and Prime Minister Abdullah Gul will go to Denmark on Dec. 11.
Foreign Minister Yasar Yakýs, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Ugur Ziyal, Foreign Ministry Deputy Undersecretary in charge of EU Affairs Akýn Alptuna and Secretary General for EU Affairs Volkan Vural headed by Prime Minister Abdullah Gul will represent Turkey in the EU Summit.
Prime Ministry Chief Adviser Ahmet H. Takan will be in Gul's delegation to organize relations with the press. Prime Minister Gul will return from Copenhagen on Dec. 14.
The contacts of AK Party leader Erdogan won't be limited with Copenhagen. Erdogan who will meet with EU Term President Denmark's Prime Minister Rasmussen on Monday, will later go to the U.S.
After wrapping up his contacts in the U.S., Erdogan will return to Copenhagen on Dec. 11 and he will continue his contacts until Dec. 15.
Erdogan will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Yasar Yakýs, his political adviser and AK Party deputy Omer Celik, AK Party deputies Egemen Bagýs, Huseyin Besli, Cuneyt Zapsu and Ali Ihsan Arslan in his contacts in the U.S. and Denmark.
