Gross Regional Product In G.A.P. Region To Increase By 4.5 Folds In 2005

GAZIANTEP - The gross regional product in Southeast Anatolian Development Project (GAP) region will increase by 4.5 folds in the year 2005.
According to the GAP Regional Development Administration data, the share of agriculture in the region will decrease, while the shares of the industrial and services sector will increase in the region in 2005 when compared to the 1985 when the project started.
The share of agriculture will decrease to 23 percent from 40 percent, the share of the industry will increase from 16 percent to 24 percent, and the share of services will increase from 44 percent to 53 percent in the period between 1985-2005. The gross regional product index will increase from 100 to 445.
