ANKARA - The IMF delegation headed by Turkey Desk Chief Juha Kahkonen will start its contacts on December 9, Monday.
Part of the IMF delegation will work in Ankara and part of it will work in Istanbul. IMF experts will meet with representatives of financial and real sector in Istanbul.
IMF delegation will meet with officials of Treasury, Finance Ministry, State Planning Organization, Central Bank, Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, Public Banks and Privatization Board in Ankara.
The delegation which will stay in Turkey until Christmas will discuss issues of inflation, growth and non-interest surplus with Turkish officials.
The fourth review will be completed in January after the IMF delegation comes again to Turkey. The letter of intent, which will be reviewed as the macro economic targets changed, is expected to be submitted to the IMF Executive Board Directors in January.
Following the completion of the fourth review in January, IMF is expected to release 1.6 billion dollars of tranche for Turkey.
Turkey can draw totally 2.7 billion dollars from IMF in 2003.
