ANKARA - State Minister Ali Babacan said on Wednesday that general policies and approaches of the government were accepted by European Union (EU) member countries.
Babacan met with ambassadors of EU member and candidate countries to Turkey at French Embassy in Ankara.
Following the meeting, Babacan told reporters that he informed the participants about general policies, especially economy policies of the government and the ambassadors asked him many questions and he tried to enlighten them as much as possible.
Babacan stressed that this meeting would have an important place in rapprochement process with the EU and it would be a beginning for further cooperation.
More meetings would be held from now on, Babacan noted and said that ambassadors would visit him.
Babacan stated that there would be a good cooperation in investments.
Asked about the content of the questions of the ambassadors, Babacan said that questions were mainly on economy and the program.
