More Than One Million Tourists Visit Cappadocia

NEVSEHIR - One million 195 thousand 977 tourists visited Cappadocia in the first eleven months of this year.
Officials of Nevsehir Museum Directorate told A.A correspondent on Wednesday that 1 million 195 thousand 997 tourists, including 657 thousand 509 foreigners, visited Goreme Open Air Museum, Zelve, Cavusin and Gulsehir St. Jean Churches, Gulsehir Ruins, Mazi, Tatlarin, Ozkonak, Kaymakli and Derinkuyu underground cities between January and November 2002.
The officials said that 3 trillion 700 billion Turkish liras (TL) of income was raised from the tourists in the mentioned period.
Around 1 million 229 thousand 519 tourists, including 773 thousand 407 foreigners, had visited the region in the same period of last year.
