ANKARA - U.S. President George W. Bush invited Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the United States.
Sources told the A.A correspondent on Tuesday that the invitation letter of President Bush was presented to Erdogan by U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz and the U.S. Under Secretary of State Marc Grossman at the dinner hosted by U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Robert Pearson.
In his letter, President Bush said that he would like to see Erdogan in the United States on December 10, 2002.
