NEW YORK - Turkey's Permanent Representative to U.N. Umit Pamir warned Israelis and Palestinians on Tuesday saying that terrorism and violence is a dead end.
Addressing the U.N. General Assembly session in which the situation in the Middle East was discussed, Pamir said that Turkey condemned all sorts of terrorism and noted that acts of terrorism can't be excused under any circumstances. Pamir said that use of excessive force won't serve peaceful means.
Pamir said that the hopes for peace in the Middle East are diminishing, adding that this is very dangerous. Pamir said that Turkey supports the efforts of the U.S., EU, U.N. and Russia which try to find a solution to the problem.
''Turkey launches all sorts of efforts to ensure the start of a real political process for installation of peace in the Middle East,'' Pamir said reiterating that Turkey is ready to host a peace conference.
