GAZIANTEP - Southeastern Anatolia Region (GAP) exported USD 477 million 587 thousand agricultural, industrial and animal products to 117 foreign countries in five continents and to 11 free zones within the country in 10 months.
GAP had exported USD 524 million 276 thousand in the same period last year to 113 countries and eight free zones.
Southeastern Anatolia Exporters Union Chairman Abdulkadir Cikmaz told A.A correspondent that GAP exported USD 343 million 614 thousand textile, 52 million 866 thousand grains and cereals, 50 million 866 thousand USD dried fruits, USD 17 million 374 thousand industrial products and USD 12 million 787 thousand animal products in January-October 2002.
Machine-made carpet, synthetic thread, and snythetic textile were mainly exported to Italy, Iraq and Germany.
