Culture Minister Celik Returns To Turkey

ISTANBUL - Culture Minister Huseyin Celik said on Saturday that insolubility could not be a solution on Cyprus, stressing that this was accepted by Greece and Greek Cypriot administration and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Celik returned to Turkey after participating in a colloquim entitled, ''Common Values of European Union (EU) and Fundamental Principles of the EU Constitution'' in Rome.
Celik, who held a news conference in Istanbul's Ataturk Airport, pointed out that he had the opportunity to meet with the parliamentarians of EU member countries.
Celik said, ''we had the chance to discuss Cyprus question with parliamentarians of Greece and Greek Cypriot administration. We did not discuss the proposal of the U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan's proposal on Cyprus, however I think nobody wants this issue to continue. Both Greece and Greek Cypriot administration and TRNC accept this.
