Turkish - Greek Business Council To Convene In Athens

ANKARA - Turkish-Greek Business Council will convene in Athens on Sunday.
A statement of Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) said on Saturday that Turkish-Greek Business Council Chairman Sarik Tara stressed the importance of that meeting to take place prior to Copenhagen summit andsaid, ''we hope to establish commercial and economic relations network which will contribute to both of the countries with our neighbour Greece.''
Tara noted that activities of the business council helped significant concrete cooperation between business circles of the two countries.
They did not find the current point necessary, Tara stated and stressed that they wanted to increase number of companies within the cooperation network.
Tara pointed out that conditions existed to make Turkey and Greece the best economic partner of each other.
Meanwhile, DEIK continues its activities prior to Copenhagen summit.
Within this framework, conference on latest political and economic developments in Turkey held by the Turkish-Italian Business Council will take place in Milan, Italy on December 3.
Recent political and economic developments, Turkey-European Union (EU) relations, Turkish-Italian economic relations and investment environment in Turkey will be debated at the conference.
Economic cooperation opportunities between the two countries and continuation of Italy's support to Turkey's EU membership process will also be taken up during the meeting.
