Foreign Ministry Condemns Attacks In Kenya And Israel

ANKARA - Foreign Ministry condemned on Friday the attacks in Mombasa, Kenya and in Beit Shean, Israel.
A statement of the Foreign Ministry said that they harshly condemned terrorist attacks in Mombasa and Beit Shean which killed many people on November 28, 2002.
The statement said that those attacks which targeted innocent people were crimes committed against all humanity.
''Turkey, which was a target of terrorism in recent years, perceives agonies caused by terrorist attacks wherever they are staged and reiterates its call for taking further steps in fight against terrorism which has become a responsibility of civilization,'' the statement noted.
The statement pointed out that escalation of violence and use of force in Israeli-Palestinian dispute would make peace efforts unproductive and negative results of this situation would affect also the international community.
''We once more call on the sides to refrain from steps that will deepen non-confidence, behave responsibility and not to close path of dialogue,'' the statement added.
