Meeting On Iraqi Issue Held In Presidential Residence

ANKARA - A meeting on Iraqi issue was held on Friday under the chairmanship of President Ahmet Necdet Sezer, with participation of Prime Minister Abdullah Gul and Chief of General Staff Hilmi Ozkok.
The meeting which was held in Presidential Residence after the meeting of National Security Council (NSC) lasted for almost an hour.
Presidential Foreign Affairs Chief Adviser Tacan Ildem said that General Staff and Foreign Ministry officials informed listeners about political and military aspect of Iraqi issue and added that the issue was evaluated at the meeting.
Upon a question, Ildem said that there was no demand from the United States related with the issue.
