Turkey Has Significant Contributions To Invitation Of Romania To Join Nato

ANKARA - Romanian Embassy in Ankara said on Thursday that Turkey had significiant contributions to invitation of Romania to join NATO with a decision taken at the Prague Summit to which President Ahmet Necdet Sezer also attended.
A statement of the Embassy noted that Prague Summit was a turning point for Romania and that Romania belonged to Euro-Atlantic family not only in strategic sense but also in moral and cultural sense.
Drawing the attention to importance of support extended by NATO member countries in the decision to invite Romania to join the Alliance, the statement said that Turkey had active, intense and important contributions to this support.
The statement added that they believed that they would fully benefit from support of the allies in coming days.
