ANKARA - Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan left for Greece on Monday within the framework of talks regarded with Turkey's full membership to the European Union (EU).
Erdogan responded to the questions of reporters before his departure from Ankara's Esenboga Airport. Erdogan is accompanied by administrators of some NGOs and journalists.
When asked whether or not they would apply for the position of parliament speaker with two candidates, Erdogan said they would make the application today.
Erdogan said the candidates would apply for Parliament Speaker's Office till 24.00 local time today. He said, ''I can not know the number of the candidates.''
Responding to a question which said, ''can the Council of Ministers be presented to the Presidential Palace today,'' Erdogan said, ''I think the Prime Minister has made all his preparations. We hope he would make the consultations with the President soon. It should not be delayed much. We should not waste time.''
