ANKARA - Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Deputy leader Abdullah Gul said on Friday that he has not received a telephone call from the Presidential Palace that he was assigned as the Prime Minister.
Responding to the questions of reporters about prime ministry, Gul recalled that President Ahmet Necdet Sezer would appoint the Prime Minister, stressing that, ''everybody will wait from now on.''
Gul said Prime Minister would be revealed soon.
Responding to a question if he was ready for prime ministry, Gul said, ''this is under evaluation of the President.''
Gul said there were many candidates in AK Party that may act as Prime Minister, adding that he did not want to talk much about something that is under President Sezer's own evaluation.
